AFFORDABLE AIR HEATING & COOLING
About Affordable Air Heating & Cooling
Locally owned in Chillicothe since August 2006.
We’re a hometown heating and cooling company. We live here, we work here, and we’ve spent nearly 20 years earning the trust of the people we see at the grocery store, the ballgame and the county fair.
OUR STORY
Where affordability meets integrity
Affordable Air started in August 2006, when two people who’d spent years in the HVAC business decided to do it their own way. Shane Shaw had been a sales manager and Darin Frazier a service manager at another heating and cooling company. They decided to start a company of their own, right here at home.
Our company was founded on a simple principle: that we could be an honest heating and cooling company with reasonable pricing. No pressure, no runaround, and no selling people things they don’t need. If a repair makes more sense than a new system, we say so. If something goes wrong after we leave, we come back and make it right.
That’s still how we do business. We’ve grown from two founders into a team of 20+ technicians, installers, refrigeration specialists and office staff, but we’ve never left Chillicothe, and we’ve never stopped treating customers like neighbors. Most of them are.
“What makes us stand out against our competition is always taking care of the customer and making things right if something did go wrong.”
HOW WE WORK
What you can count on from us
We make it right
If something isn’t right after we leave, we come back and fix it. That promise has been part of this company since day one.
Doing what’s right for your home
We care about more than getting the heat back on. We want your system sized right, installed right and set up to last, at a price that makes sense for your budget.
Hometown people
Our team lives in the communities we serve. We cheer for the same teams, shop at the same stores and answer for our work right here at home.

GIVING BACK
Invested in the places we share
We’ve never thought of Chillicothe as just a service area. Over the years we’ve bought 4-H and FFA animals at the Ross County Fair, donated Thanksgiving turkeys through the Mission Family Ministries food pantry, supported Southeastern athletics, helped local career-tech students and pitched in on fundraisers, Christmas drives and church projects. We do it because this is home.
